When you’re visiting Seabrook Island, you’ll want your dog to have a fun experience too. You can also find several Seabrook Island pet friendly rentals if you’re looking to stay for a vacation. Here are some places that will welcome your furry friend.

Restaurants
Red’s Ice House is on Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant and is a relaxing place to see Lowcountry wildlife and beautiful sunsets. Your dog is welcome on the outdoor patio too. Red’s Ice House features local, fresh seafood. Kiawah Pizza is at Bohicket Marina and serves Brooklyn-style pizza. They have a limited dining area, but there are public tables near the marina. Bring your pup, enjoy great pizza and all the activity at the marina.

Get Out On the Water
Bohicket Boat: Adventure and Tour Co. is located at a commercial pier with fishing and shrimp boats. The company offers boat rentals to the islands. You may take your leashed dog on one of the rental boats, but not on the tours. Bohicket Boat: Adventure and Tour Co. is located on Wadmalaw Island in South Carolina.

Seabrook Island Beach
Designated beach areas for dogs are from the Community Center boardwalk to the ocean. Dogs may be allowed off-leash before 10 a.m. and after 5 p.m., but only if they respond to voice commands by their owner. Between November 1st and April 30th, leashed dogs will be allowed on the beach between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and off-lease before 10 a.m. and after 5 p.m.

Kiawah Beachwalker Park
One pet-friendly place to visit, close to Seabrook Island, is Kiawah Beachwalker Park. The park has the only beach access that’s public. The park is located on the western side of the island, has frontage on the ocean, and a view of the river. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on-leash at all times.

Dog Parks
Dog parks provide your dog with exercise and are a fun place to interact with other dogs. The dog parks on Seabrook Island were designed for dogs to give them a place to run and play in an environment that’s controlled, within an existing park. The dog parks are created with double gates and are between four and six feet high to keep your dog safe during play time.

Bees Landing Dog Park is at 1580 Ashley Gardens Boulevard in Charleston and is a recreation area that has an off-leash park for dogs. Ackerman Park Dog Run is located at 55 Sycamore Drive in Charleston. The park is completely fenced-in and has a water fountain and benches.
